Dr. Tao brings over 30 years of experience in reproductive medicine across the United States and Canada and is widely recognized for his leadership in assisted reproductive technologies (ART).
Before joining Power IVF, Dr. Tao served as the Laboratory Director at IVF
Canada, where he successfully managed embryology laboratories and
consistently achieved high clinical pregnancy and live birth rates. Over his
career, he has helped tens of thousands of families from more than 30
countries welcome babies, making a global impact in fertility care.
At Power IVF, Dr. Tao will oversee daily laboratory operations and lead key procedures, including oocyte (egg) cryopreservation, intracytoplasmic
sperm injection (ICSI), blastocyst culture, and embryo biopsy, ensuring that
laboratory performance and clinical outcomes remain at the highest
standard. He also brings more than 15 years of advanced cryopreservation
experience and has established a highly optimized egg freezing and egg
banking system, enhancing the clinic’s technical capabilities and patient
offerings, including services for LGBTQ+ families.
Dr. Tao holds ABB board certifications as an Embryologist, Andrologist, and High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) in the U.S., and is also a CFAS-certified ART Laboratory Director in Canada. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles and served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercer University School of Medicine.
