We match Intended Parents with Gestational Surrogates using our two-step matching protocol. Whenever possible, the first step is an in-person consultation with the Intended Parents. The Costa Health interviews the Intended Parents and matches them with an appropriate Surrogate based on five criteria:

  • ·  Legal citizens of Mexico, typically aged 20–40, with at least a high school education;

    ·  Married or divorced, often working as assistants or housewives, with healthy children of their own;

    ·  Must have given birth to at least one biological child;

    ·  No hereditary or infectious diseases, and no bad habits such as smoking, drinking, or drug use;

    ·  Both the surrogate and her partner must be psychologically healthy and evaluated by a licensed psychologist.

  • She lives in her own home.

  • Surrogates all have their own children and do not want to keep your baby. In addition, your parental rights are protected by law.

  • At least one of the intended parents must travel to Mexico to bring the child home.
