How to Scientifically Monitor Ovulation in Mexico Surrogacy: A Key Step with POWER IVF

In recent years, more and more families have begun to discuss reproductive pathways in a rational and proactive way. Advanced maternal age, declining fertility, and repeated unsuccessful attempts have made “taking control of timing” increasingly important. When considering Mexico surrogacy, many intended parents focus their attention on medical technology, legal frameworks, or success rates, yet often overlook a basic but critical factor—whether ovulation is being accurately monitored.

Why Ovulation Monitoring Is So Important in Mexico Surrogacy

Within the Mexico surrogacy framework, whether using one’s own eggs or working with a third-party plan, physicians place great emphasis on ovulation timing. The regularity and accuracy of ovulation directly affect egg retrieval timing, oocyte maturity, and the stability of subsequent embryo development. If ovulation is misjudged, even the most advanced medical conditions may fail to deliver optimal results.

Methods for Scientifically Monitoring Ovulation

The basal body temperature method estimates ovulation by tracking daily morning temperature changes after waking. Typically, body temperature rises by about 0.3 to 0.5 degrees Celsius after ovulation and remains elevated until menstruation. However, the accuracy of this method depends heavily on consistent and meticulous recording, and it can be affected by many external factors, making precise measurement difficult at times.

Ovulation predictor kits detect changes in luteinizing hormone (LH) levels in the body. LH surges sharply before ovulation, signaling that ovulation is about to occur. By identifying this LH surge in urine, women can pinpoint the optimal fertility window within 48 hours before ovulation. Modern ovulation tests have become more advanced, with some integrating mobile apps to record and track data, making the process more convenient.

Women can also observe changes in cervical mucus to predict ovulation. Before ovulation, cervical mucus becomes clearer, thinner, and more elastic, with stretchability that can exceed 10 centimeters, indicating that ovulation is approaching. While this method requires no additional equipment, it demands careful observation and experience.

Ultrasound monitoring of follicular development is the most accurate way to confirm ovulation. Typically starting around day 8 of the menstrual cycle, ultrasounds are performed every two days until the follicle reaches approximately 20–23 millimeters, at which point ovulation is expected. Although highly accurate, this method requires regular clinic visits and can be time-consuming.

Monitoring Is Not Just About Data, but About Managing Rhythm

Many intended parents mistakenly believe that ovulation monitoring is simply about identifying “the right day.” In practice, physicians are more concerned with the overall condition before and after ovulation. For example, whether follicles are developing synchronously, whether hormone levels are rising steadily, and whether there is a risk of early or delayed ovulation.

In this process, institutions like POWER FERTILITY CENTER, which place strong emphasis on workflow and detail, are often able to help families break down complex issues and bring reproductive planning back into a controlled and understandable framework.
